American Revolution/ Guns for General Washington
Advantages of the Patriots
The British were carrying a lot of things around. The Patriots just brought their guns and the clothes on their bodies
The patriots got ahead of the British and could block their paths.
The Patriots hid in trees and bushes and shot the troops and the Generals.
The patriots were fighting the Indian way and the British were in formation which made them easier to target.

Benjamin Franklin spending about 2 years in France persuading the French to help the Patriots
Benjamin Franklin spent 2 years in France to get the French to help the Patriots. He did this so they Patriots had a chance to win the war.

When Lord Cornwallis was at Yorktown the British were coming to get him. At this time the French were allied with the Patriots. So the French took their men plus the Patriots and they were going to surround them. The British Fleet got to Lord Cornwallis on September 5-8. The French got there on August 30. But there were many other French people.

In April 1775 a spy warned Gage that the colonial troublemakers were stashing ammunition in Concord.

The First Continental Congress was a group of all the colonies except Georgia. They met to discuss the Kings Intolerable Acts.
Boston Massacre
The Boston Massacre was a battle of where the Patriots were being mean to the British and the British were told not to shoot. But somebody shot at the colonists so all the British Soldiers started shooting. That is how the Boston Massacre started.
Battle of Lexington and Concord
The battle at Lexington and Concord was about the British soldiers going to concord to take ammunition that the Patriots had hid. If it was not for Paul Revere the British would have gotten the ammunition. But Paul Revere got there first so the Patriots were waiting for the British.
Paul Revere
Paul Revere was an important role in the revolutionary war if he had not made his midnight ride the British would have gotten the ammunition and gotten the leaders.
Treaty of Paris
Britain agrees to remove ALL of it's troops from the colonies( But they do not)
America is officially recognized as a free and independent nation
America will not punish loyalists in the colonies( like arresting them, or kicking them out of the colonies)
It set new territory boundaries for the U.S.
America agrees to pay all existing war debts
King George III
King George was on the British side. He was the King of England which meant he was on the British side.

Some facts about his family is that King George III was that his dad died in 1751 and his mom died in 1772.

King George was a big role in the Revolutionary War. He was the king for the British. He chose to be on the British's isde because that was were his dad was King before him.
Some interesting facts was that King George III suffered from genetic disease Porphyria
