14th amendment : all people born in america are citizens and shall be treated equally, this cause d the supreme court to make separate but equal so that although they are separated they get the same things
13th amendment: Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction. People who committed crime could go back to being a slave, this was a loophole and states found ways to make black people arrested easily
15th amendment:The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude. This made it so that no state can stop any person of color from voting
