Causes of the Revolution
Taxes England taxed the colonies to pay off war debt from the French and Indian War (Tea Act, Stamp Act, Townsend Acts, Sugar Acts, Intolerable Acts)
British governors had complete control over the colonies.
Colonies had no representation in Parliament.
British had strict control over the trades. Colonists couldn't trade freely.
