Advantages Of The Patriots
They had a leader brave enough to fight the "savage" way.
General Washington was such a brave leader. He dared to fight in the way of the Natives. The tactics were different . They got to hide behind trees to dodge bullets.
They Had The French On Their Side
The French definitely gave the Patriots an advantage! They gave the Patriots more men and supplies and even a navy!
The Patriots know their land!
The Patriots know their own land because they have been living there fir a lot longer! The British are bound to get lost in the woods sooner than later.
The Patriots Were Fighting For Their Own Principles
This is around the same thing as the first branch. They have a good reason to be fired up!

There are so many good leaders, but I didn't want to make this so long. So I will focus on George Washington. He fought with the British in his early
so, he knows things about their tactics . He also kept his army strong. He kept their spirits up.

Taxation
This is one of the main reasons of the War. The King was in great debt after the French and Indian War, so
in order to pay off his debt he taxed the colonies.
Colonial Dissatisfaction
.The Patriots were upset because they had no representation in Parliament
Political Relationships
The King enforced British Laws through the colonial Governors.They were appointed by the King, so the King probably picked people that were on his side.
The Kings Troops came over from England to enforce British Law.
The colonists were tired of the King controlling them with his troops.
Economic Relationships
Britain controlled trade laws in the colonies. The king wouldn't let the colonies trade their goods with other countries.

When the Patriots got word of Gen. Gage’s plan to attack a colonial stockpile of arms, Paul Revere and William Dawes set out on horseback to warn colonists (militias) that the British were coming.
The Battle Of Concord.
A battle between the British and Patriots.This is were the shot heard round the world took place. The British were trying to get the colonists weapons.

May 1775. Second meeting of the colonies; they still aren’t unified, but this is the first attempt at a republican government for the colonies.
