Lumen Gentium Chapter 1
Section 1
The mission of the Church is by proclaiming the Gospel to every creature, to bring the light of Christ to all men, a light brightly visible on the countenance of the Church.
Present day Church conditions add greater urgency to this work of the Church so that all men can attain fuller unity in Christ.
Section 2
The Father did not leave human to themselves,always offered salvation.

Before the foundation of the world the Father chose us as the predestined people to become hisadopted sons.
Section 4
After the Son's work was done, the Father sent the Holy Spirit to continually sanctify the Church.
The Holy Spirit dwells in our hearts as well as in the heart of the Church. The Spirit guides us in the way of the truth.
Section 5
Jesus set the course of the Church by preaching the Good News to others. The Good News being the coming of the Kingdom of God.

Humans are the sheep, while the Christ is the shepherd who nourishes us and leads us.
Section 7
The life of the Christ is poured into believers, who through the sacraments are united with Christ.

Christ's body is like the human body, made up of multiple parts that each have it's own function for the body.
Section 8
Christ established the church. And continually keeps the Church intact here on Earth. The Church being a community of faith and love.
Christ carried out the work of redemption of those who were impoverished and persecuted. So the Church is called to do the same thing, so that it might bring salvation to men.
