Ideas for Personal Project 2017
To hand-draw an animation
I've always found animation fun and interesting, I've never tried frame-by-frame animation before
Very exposed to animation, always had a huge interest in it since being young (after always watching cartoons and classic-animated Disney movies).
Took the Multimedia class in Year 8 for choice subject, had the opportunity to use Flash to create Flash animations (NOT frame-by-frame)
Over the weeks, continuously adding onto the storyboard and making a frame-by-frame animation (perhaps cleaned and coloured?)
A dancing animation, similar to
Thought Of You

Learning how to do oil portraiture
Final product being 2-3 portraits
Having a mentor for instructions on how to approach oil portraiture and getting feedback from her when I finish a work
Asking for freed from peers on works
Portraiture is a genre of painting that I'm not familiar with but want to become familiar with because I find it very beautiful and interesting
Went to the National Portrait Gallery in Canberra in 2016 during a class excursion, learnt about the significance of portraiture in Western culture, the importance of portraiture, the symbols used in portraiture
No prior work with portraiture or prior use with oil paints
Learning to play an instrument
Guitar
My sister would mentor me
Violin
My sister would mentor me
Music is something that I have a very wide interest in, and I have some music background (piano, ukulele). I generally like learning how to play instruments and music as a whole.
Knows how to play the piano and the ukulele, has prior experience with the guitar. No prior experience or knowledge about a violin.
Learning how to play a song on the instrument over the time. Perhaps learning a number of songs?? Presenting them through a video, an audio file, or in person.
Knitting
Knitting is known to be a calming, patient hobby. I've always had an interest in knitting, such as the patterns in knitting as well as the skill in knitting to be able to create different acessories.
Join the knitting club in primary school, but the experience was very lackluster. I've completely forgotten everything that I learnt in that club.
Make myself a sweater (if too difficult, just a scarf)
Sweaters are a type of clothing that I really like, scarves are practical and nice to feel. Both items of clothing are helpful in Winter.
Making henna tattoos
Have a stall at school and do henna tattoos for a small price ($2-$5?). Most likely going to give proceedings to the school.
Using my own designs and patterns to sell
Henna is a fun and interesting art form that I am definitely not familiar with, but am intrigued by it.
No prior knowledge about henna. Has received henna many times and participated in a henna workshop.
Find a mentor online or use my friends, who know a lot of people who can do henna, to help me find a mentor
