Mr. Benet is very sarcastic and does not like his marriage. He finds joy in constantly toying with his wife.

Mrs. Bennet is a dense, constantly flustered individual who is dead set on getting her daughters married.
Her purpose is to provide a perfect example of the obsession with marrying and marrying rich that Austen doesn't like.

Mr. Collins is a man who wanted to marry purely because his lady said to. He was rude to most people and then wanted Elizabeth to marry him because he had money.
His purpose is to show that Elizabeth is not obsessed with marriage. And to show how Elizabeth differs from most women (Charlotte).
Charlotte Lucas
Charlotte is 27, a old age to be unmarried at. And is basically willing to take whatever offer comes her way.
Charlotte's purpose is to show obsession with marriage and money. She doesn't marry for love she marries because she feels she needs to.
Mrs. Gardiner
Mrs. Gardiner is a nice lady who takes Elizabeth to visit the pemberly estate. She is liked by both Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy.

Lady Catherine is Mr. Collins lady. Mr. Collins will do whatever she says. No one else really likes her
