On the 11th of November 1918, WW1 officially ended because of the Treaty of Versailles.

As a result of the treaty, Germany lost 15 percent of its territory, 10 percent of its coal reserves, 15 percent of its agricultural land, 48 percent of its iron reserve and 10 percent of its industry.
Germany was resentful and thought that it was unfair that they were being blamed from its leaders mistakes.
