She knows the world is in a terrible state, but she's been given an alright hand and hasn't been forced to change anything.

M wants to be remembered, an existential crisis that when she dies, she won't be remembered. But, doesn't know how or what she wants to be remembered for. & Even if she knew, would she make the effort to do it?
M has been chatting to W online for years, showing this existential crisis

M decided to meet up with W, and is like, 'i want to meet you, before she tells W she's the PM'
Take
M sees how corrupt P is and the negative effect it will have on the world, and is tricked into going with it? Perhaps whilst filming something and the camera is left on or whatever?

She realises if she is going to make a real difference she has to take the initiative and learn to be independant and not just taking P's advice and quick answers.
W does an interview about their friendship, maybe he lies or whatever

M realises this is the kick up the ass she's needed. She experiments, learns about being the PM, adapts to her new role and is taken in by the delights of the new amount of power.
Has a go at W, "We don't even know each other, really though, really"

M makes a terrible decision and will definitely be remembered forever, but not necessarily in the way she wanted.

Change
Because she has taken the high road, and seen the gratification in helping others, she's now got the support of other people and tricks P into something, but then P wins and M goes back to not being the PM anymore. Maybe back to lonlieness?
