Others Image of You
when you look at yourself, you picture what others view you as. They way your parents, teachers, other family, friends and the way strangers see you.
Comparisons With Others
You comparing yourself to others who are less fortunate than you, more fortunate than you, or equal to you. Depending on who you compare yourself to will depend on how you feel or view yourself.
Cultural Teachings
The beliefs, values, morals and attitudes about how you are supposed to achieve success you develop from your parents, teachers, and the media. It's also influenced through your race, religion, nationally, and ethnical principles.
Self-Evaluation
The way you see or do things that make you who you are.
Self-Awareness

Your Four Selves
The Open Shelf~ all the information, behaviors, attitudes, feelings, desires, motivations, & ideas that you & others know. The information included is name, skin color, sex, age, political & religious affiliations, & financial situation.
The Blind Shelf~ all the things about yourself that others know but of which you're ignorant.
The Hidden Shelf~has everything that you know about yourself that you keep secret.
The Unknown Shelf~truths about yourself that neither you nor others know.
Self-Esteem
~ a measure of how valuable you think you are.
How to increase your self-esteem. Attack self-destructive beliefs, beware the impostor phenomenon, seek out nourishing people, work on projects that will result in success, remind yourself of your successes, secure affirmation.
