Promises and Sacrifices
Water Polo
Coach Mia
She lives all the way up in Oregon and leaves her home for weeks at a time to fly down to California and teach us how to play the sport of water polo. she sacrifices time with her family and friends to be with us and she promises us that she will make us stronger people, more open people, and more skillful through her coaching. The entire team deeply appreciates what she does and how much she sacrifices
Friends
Friends at Moreau
Honestly, my friends at Moreau are just sort of people that I hang around with but not really are close with. I am close with about as many people I can count on my fingers and maybe less. I appreciate them dearly because they're always there for me, but they're not my closest group of friends

Closest Friends
These people are really just like family they are people I can go to at anytime for anything. I know I can trust them. They will sacrifice whatever they need for me just as I would for them.
Family
Dad
My dad commits to his job and works as hard as he can to make us happy. He promises to protect me and guide me and teach me everything I need to know about the world so that one day I can go out and experience it and take it all on my own so that someday I can teach these things to my son
Mom
My mom has worked so many hours and words really can describe the about of dedication and love she puts into my family and my life. She loves me, my sister, and my dad very much
Sister
My sister has promised to be my best friend for life and to be there constantly whenever I need her.
MCHS
School
I go to school to get into college, to eventually get a job that is stable, that I can then use to support my family that I wish to care for one day. School is very important for my future and really everybody's. It decides where you can go and what you can do. It pretty much decides the future for you. Your profession, your job choices your interests, and maybe even relationships and friendships.
Teachers
Teachers make school what it is. They run the school and they are the ones that guide you and help you manuver through all the craziness that is probably going on in your life. Although they do provide a lot of stress it's for a good cause. They do this so that one day you can go to college and become the successful person we all strive to be as kids. So we can achieve our dreams. Each and every teacher is juts a stepping stone helping you get to where you want and I'm very greatful for each adn every one of them.
MVST
Coach Don
Coach Don has been there from the very beginning. He is basically our rock. He's a very good coach he's very experienced and he also makes it fun for us. He lives in a totally different part of the country and technically he is retired from his real job but he still enjoys coaching this team so he does and we all appreciate him a lot
Coach Brittany
Coach Britany is one of my favorite coaches I've ever had. She's been with me and my team since I was 5 and barely able to swim. She taught me so much, and she taught me everything. Sadly last season was the last season that she will ever coach for my team. She off doing her real job as a EMT and she recently got engaged. We're all extremely proud of her.But we're also very sad because it's like we lost a member of a close family. It's hard for all of us to say goodbye to her.
Swimming (MCHS)
Coach Chen
Coach Chen has a baby son that he had last season. We all know how much that can mean to a person. He continued to spend time with the team and lose many hours with hs son that he could be spending. working early mornings and late nights to make us better at the sport that we love.
Coach Laura
Coach Laura suffered a car accident and she was severely injured and required surgery. But even though she went through that traumatic experience she still wanted to coach the swim team. It meant a lot to all the swimmers on the team.*
Grandparents
Grandma
My grandma immigrated from a very poor part of China where every last little thing was seen as valuable to them. She appreciates the little things in life. She doesn't care for elaborate houses or fancy cars. She came from a place where she had nothing and now she's living a happy life doing what she wants.
Grandpa
My grandpa came to America from China and from a very poor family. He came and lived in Pennsylvania with his brother for a while then moved to Tennessee where he worked as a bus boy for a restaurant. He then drove his buggy all the way from there to San Francisco, California where he met my grandma and began his job where he would then work at for 30 years. He sacrificed a lot and has been through a lot so that I can be here today and I am very thankful for him.
