Students using technology as a form of communication and using various communicative media

The main connection is to develop and enhance the creativity that lies within students. Teachers can do this by using different types of technology tools and students can facilitate this by using the different tools that are provided for them.

The connection between these two concepts is the idea that what we do with technology affects our lives, hence, it is important that students and teacher use technology in an ethical way. Teachers should demonstrate this by being an example to students.

Student-centered learning is the connection, the idea is that lessons should be customized and authenticate to each student, because every student has a different learning style, using technology is the best way to enforce this.

The connection that links these concepts together is communication. Technology is a way of means for teachers and students to communicate with peers, administration, and parents. By using different forms of technology and multimedia tools it makes communication simple.

Digital citizenship is the link to these two ideas. Digital citizenship is the idea that we should be good citizens by monitoring how we use technology. They are linked together because both teacher and students should practice digital citizenship.

These two viewpoints are linked together because they both agree that making real world connections is important. Teachers can implement this by applying technology into their lesson plans and once students are engaged and understand the lessons then they will be able to apply it to the real world.

Different perspectives can be very hard to find especially in the same country where we all have the same Canadian core beliefs. These concepts are connected because gaining different perspectives can be done through the use of technology. Collaboration can help teacher and students learn different things.

Professional growth is the connecting factor between these points. Educators need to grow in order to stay up-to-date with technology. I connected these two ideas because growth comes from reflecting on your previous work and doing research and innovation into new and upcoming technology tools.

The connection in between these concepts is that developing the skill of problem-solving is important for students. By using multiple tools students can create and solve problems and develop the competencies to function in the real world.

The ability to adapt and to learn new tools for technology is why I linked these two points together. As educator's it is important to grow with technology just like the students are because this helps to relate to students and make their learning more engaging.
