3.1
Self-Esteem: Measure how valuable you think you are.
Attack Self-Destructive Beliefs: ideas about yourself that are unproductive or make it difficult to achieve your goals.
Imposter Phenomenon: tendency to disregard outward signs of success and consider yourself unsuccessful
Befriend supportive and positive people
Do projects that are do-able
Remind yourself of your successes
Secure affirmation: A statement asserting that something is true. Ex: I am beautiful.
Self-Concept: Image of who you are.
Can develop by others image of you, comparison with others, cultural teachings, and self-evaluations
Can be bad or good
Your self image is what you make it. Coming from a person with a good self-concept, i see its easy to be happy with yourself. I disagree that you need other peoples approval to be happy with yourself, but I do agree that you need to like yourself before others can
People with bad self concept let others walk over them and are usually shy in public places
Self-Awareness: The extent to which you know yourself.
4 Selves: open, blind, hidden, unknown
Theres ways to grow in self-awareness. you can ask question about yourself to yourself, listen to others, seek information about yourself, understand there are multiple sides to yourself, and increase how open you are to people.
My open side is Outgoing.
Blind: I clench my jaw when I get angry/annoyed
hidden: can't say
unknown: I don't like crying in front of people. I was taught that you cry on your own time to not show weakness
