TECHNOLOGY STANDARDS FOR EDUCATION
ISTE STANDARDS FOR TEACHERS
MODEL DIGITAL AGE WORK AND LEARNING: Teachers must have the skills to be able to use technology properly, and communicate it with peers, students and parents.

This standard is connected to the Student Standard of Global Collaborator because I believe if a teacher is able to communicate with students and their parents through technology it is a great example for how people can be connected locally and inspire students to try the same.
PROMOTE+ MODEL DIGITAL CITIZENSHIP AND RESPONSIBILITY: Advocate, model and teach proper digital citizenship to peers and students.

The teacher standard to promote model digital citizenship is connected to the student standard of being a digital citizen, because it is the teachers standard to teach and role model what an ethical and law following citizen looks like, and it is the students job to learn from this and shape their own identity appropriately.
DESIGN AND DEVELOP DIGITAL AGE AND LEARNING EXPERIENCE AND ASSESSMENTS: (CONNECT WITH THE STANDARDS FOR STUDENTS TO HELP DEVELOP THE STANDARDS): Teachers are expected to create learning environments and experience that continue to incorporate evolving digital tools, to help allow students meet their ISTE standards.

This ISTE standard for Teacher directly guides teachers to use their knowledge of digital tools to help Students meet their ISTE standards.
ENGAGE IN PROFESSIONAL GROWTH AND LEADERSHIP: Teachers continue to learn the evolving technologies and bring them into their schools.

Engage in professional growth and leadership is connected to the actions of Student-Centered Learning because to create a curriculum with technology infused into it, teachers must understand the technology and always be evolving with the technology. This standard is what helps create this outcome.
FACILITATE AND INSPIRE STUDENT LEARNING AND CREATIVITY: Teachers use their knowledge of subject matter and technology to promote support innovative thinking and inventiveness.

The Teacher Standing of inspiring students to be creative is directly connected to the Creative Communicator ISTE Standard for Students, by the teacher using their own knowledge to help guide students with technology to help them be creative and original

ISTE STANDARDS FOR STUDENTS

The ISTE Standards for Students create an environment and students who learn through independence, just as Student-Cantered learning is expressing
KNOWLEDGE CONSTRUCTOR: Students use technology (digital tools) to find resources to grow their knowledge and deepen their understanding. Students evaluate their sources for credibility and accuracy.
CREATIVE COMMUNICATOR: Students use the correct digital tools to creatively express themselves clearly in an original and appropriate manner.
GLOBAL COLLABORATOR: Students use digital tools to broaden their knowledge and shape their perspective by connecting with local and global people and ideas. Explore variety of backgrounds and culture through technology.
DIGITAL CITIZEN: Students learn and recognize their rights and responsibilities of learning and working in a digital world. They act in safe, legal and ethical ways when interacting socially, collecting research and managing their digital identity.
EMPOWERED LEARNER: Students use technology to take an active role in shaping and achieving their learning goals. Students use technology to build networks and customize their learning environments in ways to support their learning.

Empowered learner is connected to student centered learning because this standard explains how students should be able to use technology to create a space to access the outcomes that is stated for Student learning in the Learning and Technology Framework

These outcomes of student-cantered learning from the Learning and Technology Framework, is great examples of what General Outcomes look like.
ACTIONS: SCHOOL AUTHORITIES MUST:
School authorities need to establish a vision for technology supported, student-learning system
Develop a straightforward alignment for the use of technology across the curriculum.

CONTENTS OF THE ICT CURRICULUM

The ICT Curriculum needs teachers and administrators to adhere to all of the ISTE Standards for Teachers, Because if teachers are not able to meet the standards they would not be able create and implement the ICT Curriculum
GENERAL OUTCOMES: Statements that explain what students are expected to know and be able to do and the end of the lessons.
SPECIFIC OUTCOMES: Identifies the specific knowledge of content, skills and attitudes of the general outcome.
ILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLES: These examples are used in support to show how to incorparate different topics in lessons . Explains the depths of the outcomes and what grade you should do them in.
ASSESMENT FRAMEWORK: Classroom Assessments Tool Kit. Gives the framework on how to assess students.

The Assessment Framework is connected to the above teacher standard because, the assessment framework is only capable if the teachers make an environment using digital devices to allow students to participate in activities that can be assessed.
