The Vedas: Oldest writings usually told by word of mouth. Mainly about philosophy, prayers, poems and other religion based things. Talk about the hindu trinity which are the 3 major gods. Most of it originates from aryan poems and hymns.
Brahman is the creator, and then there is Brahma, Vishnu, and shiva, each has a goddess or consort. The vedas tell stories about them so we can learn morals.
