Technology Standards for Students
Digital Citizenship- learning what it means to be apart of the digital world and what the rules and guidelines as well as the learning the appropriate behavior.

Empower Learner- Students learn to research, set goals, and demonstrate their understanding all while using technology.
Global Collaborator- working in groups to learn how to use the technology to communicate with people on a global scale.
Knowledge Constructor- learning how to pick through sources and find reliable ones online and the tools to pull information from resources into and collaboration to show connections.

Innovative Designer- using technology to create imaginative solutions.
Computational Thinker- using technology to problem solve, gather data, learning how to use technology to manipulate data.
Creative Communicator- learn how to use different tools to communicate, learn how to use digital stimulus to creatively communicate complex ideas.
Learning Technology Policy Framework
POLICY 1: student-centered Learning -Tech is used as a support -Outcome is to be able to learn how to collaborate -Gain knowledge, Problem Solving, Demonstrate good communication skills -Develop Digital Citizen
POLICY 2: Research and Innovation -Outcome is to stay current and involved in the ever changing world of technology -Apply research into learning -Know how to use a data base to keep track and monitor students -making sure to keep up with the Alberta Education system supports involvement and research technology

POLICY 3: Professional learning -Outcome is to have confident teachers and administrators in the use of technology - Know that they are ready to innovatively incorporate into the classroom -Using technology as a source to meet the need of your diverse needs and interests that your students have -Always working towards broadening your own learning in regards to technology.
POLICY 4: Leadership -Outcome to learn how to use technology to support the student-centered learning -To make sure that teachers and administrators use technology innovatively and effectively -Making sure that the guidelines and standards regarding technology in the classroom are always up to date
