STAGE 2 - Prototype
Prepare for prototype
Gather feedback from design team, development team.
Set up a user testing of the prototype.
Product requirements document
Synthetise all information into product requirements, that engineers will use to build first prototype.
Accurate representation of what is being build.
PRD review and sign off (conclusion)
Formal review with design, engineering and client possibly.
Any open questions must be answered before SIGN OFF is complete.
If you want to make changes in PRD, you must gather more information.
STAGE 1 - Research
Foundational research
ACTIVITY: RESEARCH
-Industry data from reports - market size, industry trends, customer behavior, customer segmentation, competitvie analysis
WHY
: Identify the unique characteristics of the product.. Its value proposition and competitive advantage.
Write product requirements
WHAT
: Translate research and business requirements into user persona, user flows wireframes.
Create doc- product concept doc
ACTIVITY: Initial design prep
- user flows, quick wireframes for testing value proposition. PM works with designer. -->
OUTCOMES: screen maps, user flows (what user needs to do in app in order to achieve results), document, wireframe doc. art research doc, by PM - user personas.
Share requirements
Review with client the concept, wireframes.
Do a user testing with customer. If he likes the concept move on to the next step.
