Growing up as a PK, you learn that pastors don't make much money.
In Brazil...no problem. But in the USA, yikes!

How dumb is that?
That doesn't change when we grow up.
We make excuses to avoid getting made fun of.
What can that stop us from?
Speaking out the Truth, helping someone, making a friend.
Surprise the World:
Eating with others. We can make many excuses.
Jesus could have made excuses, but He didn't.
Zacchaeus had obstacles to seek after Jesus

SOLUTION: RAN and CLIMBED

SOLUTION: STOPPED and INVITED HIMSELF OVER
He said I
stay at your house.
He stopped and looked up.
Jesus pursues US! He didn't make excuses; he made a friend.
Jesus didn't make excuses; He made a friend.
Zacchaeus had everything but no friends to share it with.
What happened at his house?
Laugh about climbing a tree.
Stayed over night (Palestinian custom)
He repented (gave more than expected)
He converted (called Jesus Lord)

This is what Jesus did for us!
Purpose: Seek and Save the Lost
Son of Man - God BECAME HUMAN!
We're so LOST! Yet, Jesus didn't make excuses.
This is now OUR purpose!

Are you seeking after others?
Have you shared a meal with a stranger?
More time making excuses or making friends?
