Evaluate Learning Habits

using index cards

Writing notes by hand

chewing gum

studying in a quiet place by myself

Helps me organize my notes and separate my subjects. I can carry them anywhere to study at any time.

Does not help me sometimes because I could lose those cards and be out of luck because I didn't have digital notes. They can also get mixed up and confusing.

Helps me learn better because I am tactile/ hands on learner. It helps me memorize notes better when I write them down.

Sometimes hurts me because I write sloppy so I can't understand my own notes. Its a pain in the butt to write everything down.

It helps me concentrate and relax while I'm in class which helps me relax. and understand the information .

I sometimes forget my gum and end up chewing on my nails. It is unprofessional to speak with gum in your mouth.

It works for me because I am able to concentrate without distractions.

Does not help me because sometimes you can learn better by listening to music or a study group. it can also hold me from comparing notes and ideas with others

The benefit of pulling out my zip lock bag with index cards anywhere I go is a big plus for me. I think of myself as an organized person so knowing where exactly all my notes for a specific chapter are is a big thing form me and it helps me lower the anxiety of an upcoming exam

Carrying stacks of index card notes takes up space in your backpack so its not practical. I've misplaced my cards several times and since I didn't have the notes online it made it difficult to study and I made a lower grade. I sometimes forget to number or title my cards so i have no clue what subject they are for.

I benefit from writing down notes, seeing my own ink transfer it to paper makes it more recognizable and easier to understand and remember. I am also not a very tech-savvy b person so taking notes on paper is easier

I was in the military so its really hard for me to get out of the all capital letters writing style so sometimes I have to find different ways to know which notes are more important than others or where a sentence begins

having something to chew on has always helped me relax for some reason. i never knew it could help me study but I've noticed that I'm always chewing on something when I'm in class so now i always try to have chewing gum

Chewing gum makes people think you're rude or. If you're a loud chewer it can distract other people. And sometimes when i forget gum i end up chewing on other things like my nails, and pens.

Studying in a quiet place has always helped me retain certain information better because I'm able to hear my own thoughts and think about my ideas. I often lock myself in a room and do my work there.

I think me being a bit antisocial at times hurts me because i think i can benefit from group studies and tutoring. I have refrained from studying with music because i find myself getting distracted but maybe some type of classical music might help concentrate better.
