Aztec Culture
Religion-
It took 5 gods to create the world, and they failed because of fighting among the gods themselves
Games-
Children played a game called Tlachtli, which is a ball game for teams much like a combination of basketball and soccer and patolli
Aztecs also played Patolli a gambling game played with dried beans and pebbles.
Aztecs played a life or death game called The Ball Game, which contests supplied candidates for human sacrifice, it was also used for politics and religion.
Another popular game the Aztecs played was Ullamalitzli, it is played with a rubber ball you have to move with your hips,shoulders,heads, and knees. Some historians believe this game was used in war preparations.
The Aztecs played a game they enjoyed a lot called Patolli which is a board game that was very popular and you had to use dice to move your pieces
Food
The Aztecs ate varieties of foods some may sound nasty but they ate insects, fish, honey, dogs, and snakes.
Other foods Aztecs ate were meat,corn,chili peppers,vegetables,tamales,avocados, and tomatoes
The main diet of the Aztecs was maize which is similar to corn can be grounded into flour to make tortillas
One drink the aztecs drunk was Pulque which is a alcoholic drink which was first drunk by the Aztecs, and other cultures in ancient Mesoamerica. it was similar to beer, and is made from the fermented juice/sap of the maguey plant Agave americana. The Aztecs called pulque octli it was only mildly alcoholic,and the potency of pulque was increased by adding herbs or spices. Also the Aztecs valued cocoa bean the most to make chocolate.
Two other important pieces of food the Aztecs ate were beans and squash, also the most valued food was cocoa bean which was used to make chocolate
