Hernan Cortes
He was a Spanish conquistador who conquered the Aztec people.
The country that Cortes explored for was the Spanish. He was born in Spain .
Hernan Cortes purpose to coming to the new world was in search of gold and fortune. He had heard that their was a rich land. He was in search of treasure too.
Aztec Conquered
Another reason was because they didn't have good technology. Cortes had better weapons and more trained soliders.
Another reason was because Cortes meet this women who gave a lot of information about the Aztec. The Aztec people had local enemies who helped Cortes.
One reason the Aztec were conquered was because Small pox broke out. So many died because they didn't have a immunity to disease.
Lastly, was because the Aztec people were frightened by the horses that Cortes had brought along with him.
Montezuma
Montezuma's purpose of inviting Cortes was because he thought he was the god Quetzalcoatl who had come back to save the people.
Montezuma died because Cortes held him Hostage and murdered him.
Montezuma's title was the emperor of the Aztec empire.

Boys from three and up wore something called

The people in the Aztec Empire usually made there own clothing and made working clothes for their husbands.
The Aztec people wore different type of clothes and it all depended on their age.

They also ate beans and corn because it had protein and was good for them to eat.
Another, major source of food was chili and tomato.
The main food source in the Aztec Empire was maize,avocados, and chocolate.
Another ,thing is they used rabbits,dears , and wild pigs to make cakes.

When there were major religious occasions the nobility wore glitter jewelry.
Jeweller would sell pieces of necklace and they would use a variety of colors.
one common jewelry for the Aztec people were the ear plugs.
It was more common that emperors wore necklace and earrings.
craftman dedicated their lives for the crafting they did for the gods.
Tenochtitlan
Tenochtitlan had a population of 200,000 which was a lot compared to other cities.
There was a 16 km dike sealed that controlled the water under the city so it doesn't sink down.
The center of Tenochtitlan had the most temples were religious ceremony were held.
Causeways were everywhere in the island lake shore and the canals reached to all parts of the city.
Tenochtitlan was the capital of the Aztec empire and it had a lot og the stuff they built and made.

The material that was used to build the temples was stone and they were covered in stucco and polychrome paint.
The average height of a temple was 60m/197ft.
most of the temples were constructed near a swampy area and they would sink and they had to repair them often.
Many of the things that happened inside a temple were human sacrifice, private ritual blood-letting, burning of copal and the music of workship.

Chinampas are fertilized squares that were lake beds on the sides of Tenochtitlan .
The Aztec people build Chinampas to double the amount of fruits and vegetables they were making per year.
The Aztec people also put chinampas to expand the land more and make it bigger than it is.
The made them in the side of Aztec empire because since its sitting in water the people can just plant seeds and they don't have to water the plants because the soil was already wet and good for the plants.

Francisco Pizarro
Pizarro was also exploring for the Spanish people and was also born in Spain.
His reason for exploring the new world was for rich and fame.
Pizarro was a Spanish conquistador.
Inca Conquerd
Pizarro invited Atahualpa to a fest and set him into a trap.
Atahualpa was full of himself and thought he had nothing to fear but was set into a trap and was held hostage.
He killed a lot of Atahualpa soldiers leaving him with a little bit of soliders which means they were out numbered.
One reason they were captured was because the emperor was not nice to Pizarro and he got mad.
Atahualpa
Atahualpa died because he was executed by Pizarro after what he asked for.
Pizarro bombed the Inca unexpected and was considered a surprise attack on the Inca empire.
He was the emperor of the Inca empire.

The elevation of Machu Picchu is 7,972 and is located in the Andes mountains.
When the Inca people made Machu Picchu they used really big and heavy rocks. Since they didn't have stuff with wheels they didn't use anything thing to transport the rocks to where they wanted them.
Machu Picchu is made up more than 120 buildings and they consist of temples, houses,baths and many more stuff.

Jewelry
The gold jewelry for the Inca people didn't mean they were rich. The Inca people wore them not to show they were rich but to show if they were blessed by god not.
Nose rings were important for them because they wore them during religious ceremony's.
The Inca always thought about making the jewelry heavy. This is because supposedly the heavier the better.
Most of the Inca people decorated their everyday clothes with gemstones and jewelry.
Most of their jewelry was made of gold were taken away for the Spanish Conquers.
Clothing
Man wore long sleeve tunic that were mainly made by wool.
Women wore long dresses that connected a blouse and a skirt. The length of the dress was long enough to reach the ankles.
Their clothes were put together with wool, fiber/fabric, metal buttons,and many other stuff.
Their clothing was worn by their gender. They had specific clothing for each gender and age.
Emperor wore the richest and finest wool they had and was richely dyed to show the difference from the other.
Food
For meat they ate ducks, guinea pigs,vizcacha rodent and deers.
They ate maize, potatoes, tomatoes, peanuts, cucumber, cashews and many other type of food.
They drank llama milk and water and other type of foods that can go with the drink.
They usually ate potatoes and other type of fruits and vegetables. The Inca people didn't eat lots of meat.
The Inca people ate guinea pigs for their daily protein because they didn't have pigs, cows, or chickens.

The first fountain that was ever created was next to the emperor Pachacuti's residence.
The Fountains were created by walls and tall tunnels that keeped the water running by being specific with the gravity.
The fountains were properly made to prevent erosion form happening in the city.

The Inca engineers built a 48-foot long wall that prevented water from seeping through.
Terraces
The Inca people were the first one to invent terracing because they had to make a living up in the mountains.
The way the Inca made terracing possible is by making flat lands on the side of the Andes mountains.
Since the Inca people lived in the Andes mountains and it was cold they used terracing to make all of their food to feed their family.
The Inca made sort of like stairs on the side of the mountains and they were used for agriculture.
