Family Life
Most men got married at age 20, but they didn't chose who they married. Matchmakers would chose who married who,and the of the families of the two people would have to come to an agreement on the marriage
The husband generally worked outside the house. He would be a farmer, warrior, or craftsman. That is kind of what most civilizations do when it comes to who works inside and who works outside
The women in the family did the stereotypical wife thing and stayed at home, cleaned, and cooked food for the family.
The kids went to seperatw schools. Boys learned about farming and crafts while girls learned about taking care of the family and house stuff.
Calendar
The first calendar stone was carved out of Basalt, a solidified lava. But was later buried under the central part of Mexico for over 300 years.
The first calendar of the Aztecs was called xiuhpohualli. The year was 365 days long, 18 months long, 20 days each. And there were also 5 unlucky days added to the year.
The second calendar was the Tonalpohualli, and was considered to be most sacred. 13 days in a week, and 260 days in this year.
The Aztec calendar was originally dedicated to their Sun God, Huitzilopochtli. He is also the god of war and nation .
The original calendar stone was made in 1479, almost 550 years ago! It was 3 feet thick, and 25 tonnes! (Metric version of tons).
