Tenochtitlan
They paled ball games in the city it was called ullama
Tenochtitlan was a huge trading center it was basically a market were people can make a profit.
It was located in Mexico on the Lake Texcoco.
Tenochtitlan was created in the center of a lake and its floating on top.

Hernan Cortes
Hernan Cortes was a Conquistador and Explorer he was from Castile, Spain. Cortes sailed for the New World in 1504 arrived on the island of Hispaniola at the city of Santo Domingo. He got a job as a notary and over the next five years made a name for himself on the island.
Aztec Conquered
Within two years the Spanish weapons and European diseases had destroyed the Aztec civilization.
Cortes returned to Tenochtitlan with a large army.
For 83 days, Cortes and his men marched across Mexico.

Cortes arrived in Tenochtitlan with more than 500 soldiers, 14 cannons, 16 horses.
Montezuma II
Montezuma welcomed Hernan Cortes because they had guns,horses,and cannons. He was the leader of the Aztec empire. Montezuma was killed by Hernan Cortes even though they did what they had to do he killed him anyways.

They also go and make offerings to the gods to keep them strong and in balance.
The Templo Mayor was one of the main temples in Tenochtitlan.
They go their to pray and worship the gods.
The Aztec called the templates Teocalli - god houses.
causeways
They were mainly used for canals and transportation from the city to mainland.
The Aztecs built causeways by using a foundation of wooden stakes, rocks and clay .
There were three major causeways that led from the island to the mainland
The upper layer provided a quicker way and made it possible for the Aztecs to get to the causeways if the city came under attack.

Food
The food they ate were tortillas, insects, fish, honey, dogs, and snakes.
They also had coco beans to make chocolate .
They also ate chillies, tomatoes, limes, cashews, potatoes, sweet potatoes, peanuts, and chocolate.
They didn't rely and animals for food they mostly relied on crops.
They made corn into dough and added beans and vegetables and then they warped it in corn husk and baked it and they called it tamales .
Chlothing
Woman wore long skirts and blouses they were colorful with feathers and the blouses were sleeveless. They also wanted to stand out to attract men.
Woman were the ones responsible for making the cloths .
Men wore loincloths and long capes.
Poor people had to weave their own cloths. That were made from maguey fibers. Also slaves did not wear much
Children who were younger than three wore no cloths at all. From three and up girls wore blouses and boys wore capes .From four and up girls wore short skirts .
religion
In the religion human sacrifices had to be made for the gods . They had human sacrifices because the Aztec gods need human blood to keep the world balanced.
ceremonial bathing- The priest did not do it but it as important in daily life they had to be religiously purified.
The priest did not take baths and they did not cut their hair. They were also covered with dried up blood.
polytheistic-Sun,death,corn,and rain. They were not christian because they have never heard about it.

Francisco Pizarro
He was a Conquistador and Explorer he was born in Trujillo, Spain. He heard stories of the riches of the New World and wanted to travel there and find his own fortune.
Inca Conquered
They did not have guns and horses so they had a disadvantage.
They had to fill a room with all gold and another one with all silver they had six months to do this and Atahualpa would be free but when they finished he killed Atahualpa.
The men who came to the Aztec land had brought deadly deaisese like smallpox and measles.
Since Atahualpa was captured the incas did not have a leader so they couldn't attack or do anything because they had no leader to guide them,

He was the emperor of inca empire. Pizarro had told him to meet up and Atahualpa only brought 5,000 bodyguards with him Pizarro kidnapped him and he later killed him.

Most of the buildings are built with stones that are fitted together tightly without the use of mortar.
It was built to withstand earthquakes.
It was a vacation spot for the king. It is in a warmer spot than the capital city of Cuzco.
It also is in a beautiful location and would have been a nice getaway for the king.

They also believed in reincarnation which is the afterlife.
They were good at persevering the dead they also brought gifts to the dead so they can use in the afterlife.
The main god was the sun god which was called Inti.
animals were sacrificed but it was usually white lamas also they sacrificed children.
The incas were polytheistic they believed in many gods.
games
It was a combination of soccer and basketball.
They could only use their hips not their hands .
The game was called Tlachtli.
It was the same game as the aztec.
language
Quechua was destroyed by the Spanish in the 16th century.
The Inca used a system of knotted strings known as quipu to send messages around their empire.
Quechua is the language that the aztec spoke. Quechua was the language of the Inca empire which was destroyed by the Spanish in the 16th century.

Aqueducts
Aqueducts are still used today they have never stopped working.
They collected the water coming from the mountains and helped in distributing it across the cities.
They were used for bringing fresh drinking water from fountains and clear mountain streams to the Inca cities.
Cuzco
What was so amazing is that it was in the shape of a gauguar.
Cuzco is important because it was were the emperor was born.
Cuzco is the capital city of the inca empire.
Cuzco is located n the andes mountains which is know South Peru.
