Family life
The husband like many other cultures worked outside of the house bringing food to put on the table.
They would usually be craftsman, a farmer, or a warrior.
The family life was very important for Aztecs.
The women would work inside the house doing to chores, making food, and weaving clothes for the family.
Children would either go to school or help out around the house.
Clothing
Women wore long skirts and a blouse.
Poor people had to wove their own clothes.
The Aztec men wore loincloths and long capes.
There were rules about what different classes had to wear.
The rules included specific decorations and colors different classes had to wear.
Aztec food
The main source for diet was the maize.
Maize was something similar to corn.
Aztec would use the maize to make tortillas .
They also ate animals like insects, dogs, and fish.
Animals were called their most valued food.

Montezuma welcomed Herman Cortes because he thought Herman was Quetzalcoatl-a important aztec god. Montezuma died when fighting broke out in the city and might have even been killed by one of his men.

Tenochtitlan was a city built on lake Texcoco.
Bridges were created so they could raise to prevent enemies from entering the city.
Tenochtitlan was full with beautiful buildings the colors Earth red and white.
Tenochtitlan had an advantage that it was in a river because that way it was easier to defend against enemies.
In 1500,the city of Tenochtitlan was the largest city in the world.

What did Francisco Pizarro do to him? How he died?
Francisco Pizarro captured Atahualpa asking for one room filled with gold and another with silver to let him free. They did give Pizarro the rooms filled with gold and silver, but Pizarro still killed Atahualpa.

Quechua is an Amerind language spoken for about 8 million years in South America.
Their is still today people who speak Incan language that had ancientors that spoke it.
