The Aztec play their famous game called the Tlachtli. It is sort of a combination of basketball.
Tlachtli- The ball game
The Aztec use the rear of their hips to make it to the ''hoot.''
To play the game, they have to make the ball bounce, like in basketball,to win.
The Tenochtitlan had settled down to raise turkeys, farm corn, chiles, and beans! They once invented agriculture.
Tenochtitlan was an island in the middle of Lake Texcoco. One day, the priests saw an eagle eating a snake standing on a cactus, which is now the image on the flag of Mexico.
Not only did the Tenochtitlan raise turkeys and farm, but they were excellent farm workers. They built beautiful buildings like pyramids, ball courts, and even houses.
Tenochtitlan's had a zoo with jaguars, rattlesnakes, and even exotic birds.
The Aztec were Polytheistic. That means that they worshipped many gods
The Aztec were not Christians, they had never heard of that religion.
The Aztec did Human Sacrifice. It was very important for their religion. The Aztec needed human blood to keep the world balanced.
