Aztec Culture
Clothing
Poor people generally wave their own clothes.
Aztec men wore loincloths and long capes.
It was the responsibility of the wife to make the clothes.
There was rules in Aztec society regarding to clothes that includes color, decoration, and more.
The woman wore long shirts and blouses.
Food
Maize was the main food source along with tamales, tortillas, vegetables, meat, corn, chili, peppers, and chocolate.
The Aztec ground the maize into flour to make tortillas.
Other important staples for the Aztec were beans. and squash.
Typical crops included potatoes ,tomatoes and avocadoes.
They also supported themselves through fishing and hunting local animals such as rabbits, armadillos, snakes, coyotes, and wild turkey.
Langauage
Numerous Nahuatl words borrowed by the Spanish were later absorbed into English.
Chile or chili, avocado, chocolate, coyote, peyote, guacamole, ocelot, mescal were all borrowed by the Spanish from the Nahualt and then absorbed by the English.
The language is spoken by 1.5 million people today.
Today the language Nahuatl is spoken by many different people in the world.
The Aztec language is Nahuatl, was the dominant language in central Mexico by the mid 1350's.
Tenochtitlan
It was built above a lake.
It was extended because a lot of people came to live their.
They usually called the city where the Tenochtitlan was located they called it the lost city.
Tenochititlan was 5 milrs square, and surrounded by Texcoco

They also used it to get to Tenochtitlan if they wanted to live their.
They used canals to collect food around Tenochtitlan.
They were used to help get around in Tenochtitlan.
They were used to do parades around Tenochtitlan.
They were used to travel in a lake or something with water.
Causeways
They were like roads above the lake.
They helped people to know where they are going.
Causeways led in and out of the city.
They also led path to random places that people would want to go.
Tenochtitlan had three causeways.

Montezuma
Montezuma was killed by rock that hit him.
Montezuma welcomed Hernan Cortes because he thought he was the feared.
They called Montezuma a Emperor.
Hernan Cortes
Hernan Cortes was from Medellin, Spain.
He came to the new world because he was escaping.
They called Hernan Cortes a Conquistador.
Aztec Conquered
He only brought 160 soldiers from home land.
They kidnapped the Atahualpa because they thought it would be easier to conquer them.
The Aztec spread out smallpox.
They kept Atahualpa and said that they needed on room of gold and one silver but they still killed Atahualpa and conquered the Inca.

Atahualpa
Francisco Pizarro kidnaps Atahualpa and said they will give him back if they filled one room with gold and with one silver but they gave it but before they killed Atahualpa.
He died by Francisco Pizarro killing him.
They called Atahualpa a Emperor.

He was from Trujillo, Caceres, Spain.
He went to the new world because he heard stories of the riches and he wanted to be rich so he left.
They called Francisco Pizarro a Conquistador.
Inca Conqured
They used the smallpox and made them weakened which mad it easier to conquer the Aztec.
They used a rock and hit Montezuma and he got killed which made it a little more easier.
Montezuma did not attack right away so the Inca had a chance to kill has much people in a little time.
They took Montezuma hostage before they could attack.
Inca Culture
Art
Pottery was one of the reason for repeated designs.
Gifted artists were brought to Cuzco so that they could produce beautiful things for the Inca rulers.
Designs often use geometrical shapes, are technically accomplished, and standardized.
The most common shape was the urpu.
The Incas did create their own distinctive style which was an instantly recognizable symbol of imperial dominance across the empire.
Food
They also ate llamas or alpaca.
They also ate maize or corn.
They ate guinea pigs for their daily protein because they didn't have any other protein to eat.
They ate different types of potatoes.
The main thing the Inca ate potatoes .
Religion
Thus is the religion of the Inca it was preoccupied with controlling the natural world and avoiding the disaster that can happen.
The Inca had a polytheistic which is the belief of many gods.
The main god was the sun god.
The sacrifices was both animals and humans, including children were also made to pacify and honor the gods and ensure the gods health of the king.
The Incas imposed their religion on local populations by building their own temples.
Machu Picchu
The purpose was because of the Inca religion it stands for.
There are 16 fountains.
Built with rocks pushed together without anything to stick them together, they used the rock hit it together.
Machu Picchu is an Inca set the settlement located in the high Andes of Peru in the Urubamba Valley, north of Cuzco.

Aqueducts
It was created like if it was a bridge.
It helped get water easier than before.
It help them to provide water.
It helped the Inca to provide many water for the country to drink and they could sale it and earn some money.
It is useful to get fresh water.
Terraces
They used terraces to plant many different crops.
It was only mad for one person to walk at a time.
They made it by the workers that used rocks to hammer it in and materials that would help it look beautiful and use something to make it curve.
They hammer on the rock to make it stay.
The terraces helped to make path.
