Can This Act Of Imperialism Be Justified?
Yes and no. Yes, because even though the big empires annexed the countries and assimilated their land. Is that during this age of exploration these isolated countries didn't have modern technologies that would have helped them advance with the rest of the world. Also, theses colonies opened trade route throughout the world, helping a lot more empires and nations. The no aspect of this is that these countries were annexed without permission and couldn't fight back for the most part. The big empires also exploited these countries for their resources to help the big empires gain money and power without human regard. These big empires also didn't treat the colonies as humans some of the time. So, in the end, this is a very debateable topic.
