        2006 report by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization estimates that 7,516 million metric tons per year of CO2 equivalents, or 18 percent of annual worldwide GHG emissions are attributable to cattle, buffalo, sheep, goats, camels, horses, pigs, and poultry. 9

        Carbon dioxide from livestock respiration accounts for 21% of anthropogenic GHGs worldwide according to British physicist Lan Calverd. This amounts to around 8,769 million tons. 9
    - - Greenhouse gases like water vapor (H2O), carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), and Nitrous Oxide absorb energy, slowing or prevent the loss of heat to space. 2

        The Burning of Fossil Fuels
        
        This all depends on climate sensitivity which is the overall responsiveness of the climate to radiative forcing.
        
        if doubling occurs of atmospheric CO2 from preindustrial levels - that is, to 550 ppm, a level we could easily reach in the next 50-100 years. The IPCC estimates this factor to be in a range between 1.5[degrees]C and 4.5[degrees]C, with a best estimate of 2.5[degrees]C cited by its Second Assessment Report. 5
        
        The Industrial Revolution began to leverage the cheap energy of fossil fuels, and the atmospheric concentrations of a greenhouse gases began to rise rapidly. 5

        Human activities currently release over 30 billion tons of CO2 into the atmosphere every year .2
        
        This is the primary greenhouse gas that is contributing to recent climate change. CO2 is absorbed and emitted naturally as part of the carbon cycle, through plant and animal respiration, volcanic eruptions, and ocean-atmosphere exchange. 2
        
        Atmospheric CO2 concentrations have increased by more than 40% since pre-industrial times, from approximately 280 parts per million by volume in the 18th century to over 400 ppmv in 2015. 2
        
        The current CO2 level is higher than it has been in at least 800,000 years. 2
        
         Some volcanic eruptions released large quantities of CO2 in the distant past. The US Geological Survey reports that human activities now emit more than 135 times as much CO2 as volcanoes each year. 2
        
        The resultant build-up of CO2 in the atmosphere is like a tub filling with water, where more water flows from the faucet than the drain can take away.
        
        Methane
        
        Methane is produced through both natural and human activites. 2
        
        For example, natural wetlands, agricultural activates, and fossil fuel extraction and transport all emit methane. 2
        
        Methane is more abundant in Earth’s atmosphere now than at any time in at least the past 800,000 years. 2
        
        Due to human activities, CH4 concentrations increased sharply during most of the 20th century and are now more than two and a half times preindustrial levels.
        
        Nitrous Oixde
        
        Nitrous Oxide is produced through natural and human activities, mainly through agricultural activities and natural biological processes. Fuel burning and some other processes also create N2O 2
        
         Concentrations of N2O have risen approximately 20% since the start of the Industrial Revolution, with a relatively rapid increase toward the end of the 20th century. 2
      - GHGs act like a blanket, making Earth warmer than it would otherwise. 2
      - Recent Greenhouse efftect
        
        Since the Industrial Revolution in 1750, human activities have contributed substantially to climate change by adding CO2 and other heat-trapping gases to the atmosphere. 2
