Hybrid Best Practices
Don't be afraid to fail
Use paraprofessionals in groups
All students have headphones at all times
use assessments to group students
remember that hybrid looks different for every teacher/classroom/student
Student engagement
Student centered
PLANNING
Plan according the various levels of the students
Don’t use too many different tools that confuse and overwhelm the students
account for possible down time
give students OPPORTUNITIES to be accountable
Use flex time/flex spaces
Have a back-up plan
All students must have go-to enrichment activities, like Newsela, CommonLit, Independent Read, etc.
There's no one correct way; do what works for you and your students. What works for one class may not even work for the next group of students.

Increases engagement
TEACH WHAT ACCOUNTABILITY LOOKS LIKE
You can’t expect students to take control of their learning if you don’t let them
BUT you can’t let them if you don’t first teach them how
Be flexible but have consistent expectations
