AESTHETICS
Aesthetics is relatively important as it can contribute to the quality of the user experience. Although functionality is much more important, as in this case the product is helping people survive, aesthetics can not be dismissed.

Fun, flamboyant colors to make the experience more enjoyable. This is especially applicable when in regards to children.
MATERIALS

-
Strong, resistant plastics?
Sturdy, cold resistant materials? WIll this impact comfortability to an extent where it is not balanced? WIll it be harder to maneuver the product if it is produced with these materials?
ENVIRONMENT
Weather; harsh rain, cold winters e.t.c Materials must resist this.

FUNCTION
The function is the most important part. The shelter's function is to shield against weather and freezing temperatures. The product must also include signs of biomimicry and maneuverability.
Maneuverability, mobile, temporary not permanent e.t.c Consider wheels, or other methods of maneuverability. Bicycle shelter? Car shelter? Consider new intuitive maneuverability options.
HAZARDS
The possible hazards that are evident is the extreme weather and temperature. Harsh winds, rain, snow and coldness can be fatal and thus the product must be able to shield the homeless from this.
ERGONOMICS
Ergonomics is quite important as it contributes to the overall comfortability of the product. The product is supposed to help homeless people survive but by doing so it must also help them tackle mental issues.
-
SAFETY
Safety from harsh weather conditions, must consider materials that remedy this.
PRODUCTION
The economic scale for this product will be batch production. Mass production is neglected as it will produce too much of a surplus as there are not that many people homeless and a one-off is obviously not viable either as there is not only one person who is homeless.
