        They put Jews in internment camps forcing them to migrate out of the country.
        
        The Axis powers slowly take over Europe eventually into the Netherlands where Anne and her family are living. That is when they are forced into hiding.
        
        Japan bombs the United States of America causing them to be involved in the war.
        
        Hitler rose to power when people started to listen to him and quickly turned Germany into a dictatorship.
