- - - - Consisted of the knights and squires of the kingdom. From this class came Justices of the Peace and members of the Parliament
    - - Included Dukes, Earls and Barons. Was second highest power, but only 55 families of nobles existed during Shakespeare's lifetime.
    - - Sold products, traded products, made products, and bought products within the kingdom. These peoples were taxed in order to sell their goods.
    - - Consisted of King James I and Queen Elizabeth, had the highest amount of power
    - - Included common citizens, or the middle class. People with enough money to remain respectable but often times very close to poverty
    - - This is the class contained carpenters, peasants, those who do not own land, shoemakers, and other similar positions. These peoples were often in poverty.
  - - - Actions that reinforced the class system, acts that showed who remained in which class and how other classes were to treat other classes.
    - - The way one moved was part of Elizabethan etiquette. Woman often had to have straight backs, men had to bow and treat women with respect, etc.
