Reflecting on my personal project
Learning Styles
I am also an auditory learner so i was mainly listening to what my dad was telling me to fix, repair, take out, and what to be careful of and to even watch out for the intake manifold.
I also learn as an interpersonal person so i got to work with my dad and my grandpa.
I am a visual learner so i used youtube to learn how to fix the alternator to the car.
Support
My grandpa helped with the project by changing the tires to have new tires.
I also had a jack that helped me lift up the car.
My dad helped with my project by repairing the brakes
Challenges
My other challenge is that i was working in the cold and most of the metal was frozen together and it was hard to separate.
My challenge when fixing the car was that i had to disconnect the battery when working with electric objects in the engine or you will shock yourself.
My biggest challenge was that the alternator was at the bottom of the engine and it is difficult to take out because you have to do so much to get the alternator.
IB Traits
I use knowledge because you have to know how to do certain things an to know not what to touch.
I used thinker to think about how i will do my project.
I use Risk Takers because there are things that break easily near the alternator like the piping for the turbo charger.
Mindset
In the middle i felt a little more calm because i knew what i was doing but still felt nervous about what will happen.
At the beginning of the project i had felt nervous because i felt like i was going to break the car.
At the end i had felt so relieved because i was done with what i had to do.
ATL Skills
I am social because i also had to reach out to certain people for car parts.
I researched on how to fix the alternator while going on youtube and even the internet.
I am a thinker because i had to think about what i was doing and how i was going to do it.
