A wave is a disturbance that moves through a medium when particles of medium sets neighboring particles in motion.
When vibrating object moves forward, it pushes and compresses a region of air in front of it creating a region of high pressure. This starts to move from vibrating object and when it moves backward it creates a region of low pressure called rarefaction.series of it causes sound to move.
Pressure is related to number of particles of given volume. More particles in the medium gives more pressure and vice versa.

Sound which is produced and is heard a little later due to repeated reflection is echo. It maybe heard more than once due to multiple or successive reflection like thunder.
Persistence of sound in a big hall due to repeated reflection is called reverberation sound-absorbent materials like fiberboard, rough plaster and draperies are used to reduce it.It's used in 1.Megaphones or loudhailers, horns, trumpets, shehanais, etc. 2. stethoscope and 3. ceilings
Range of hearing
Human beings can hear sound from 20Hz to 20000Hz. Frequencies below 20Hz are infrasonic sounds eg) Rhinoceros and above 20KHz are ultrasound eg) dolphines, bats and porpoises.
Ultrasounds are used in 1. Hard to reach places like electronic components 2. used to detect cracks or flaws in metal blocks, 3. echocardiography ( Ultrasonic waves are made to reflect from various parts of the heart) 4. Used to break stones in kidney and get pics for various images on the internal organs of the body.

Hearing aid is a electronic battery operated device. It receives sound through microphones which converts sound waves into electrical signals and are later amplified by the amplifier. The amplified electric signals are given to the speaker of the hearing aid which converts amplified electric signals in to sound which are sent to the ear for clear hearing.
Reflection of sound
Sound is incident and is reflected to make equal angles with normal to the reflecting surface at the point of incidence and 3 are in the same plane and learn cw for more
