Newton's law of motion
2nd law of motion
In an inertial reference frame, the vector sum of the forces F on an object is equal to the mass m of that object multiplied by the acceleration a of the object: F = ma
3rd law of motion
When one body exerts a force on a second body, the second body simultaneously exerts a force equal in magnitude and opposite in direction on the first body.
1st law of motion
In an inertial reference frame, an object either remains at rest or continues to move at a constant velocity, unless acted upon by a net force

Why is motion important?
Physics
Physics basically is the study of nature. So all other branches are daughters of physics, if i may say.
In modern world, physics is study of matter and energy and their relationship.
Matter is always, always in a state of motion from particle levels to macro levels, relative to one thing or the other.
That makes us study how matter is influenced by different types of motion it shows.
Newton's law
They represent mankind’s first great success at describing diverse aspects of nature with simple mathematical formulas.

Motion is important because it helps us define if were moving or not. Without motion we couldn't be able to move.An object is in motion if its position changes it relative to another object.
