Bonding builds a secure feeling and high self-esteem for babies.
It begins happening before birth.
Babies can hear parents' voices when inside the womb.
1. Why do we love our mothers?
Because of parent-baby bonding.
This is the relationship that happens between parents and newborn babies.
2. How long does bonding take?
20% of new parents don't build a parent-baby bond quickly.
So how long does 'bonding' take?
Sometimes hours.
Sometimes days.
Sometimes weeks.
They shouldn't feel guilty if it doesn't happen right away.
4. How does bonding happen?
It happens in many ways.
When you touch your baby.
When you feed or care for your baby.
When you rock or stroke your baby to sleep.
When you gaze (look) at each other.
5. Why is bonding hard sometimes?
