ISTE Standards For Teachers 2008
Designing New Learning Experiences:
Teachers have the responsibility to connect digital tools to learning objectives of the course. This will promote student learning as well as educate students that there are multiple and more creative ways at looking and retaining the information of that course.

Promoting Collaboration:
Teachers will encourage students to use each other for resources, by sharing and expressing ways to approach certain concepts or clarifying certain outcomes.Teachers will show new techniques on how to communicate that does not have to be face to face, but can instead be used through online programs, like chats, emails and shared documents.
Participation Within Communities:
Teachers will join their community and learn or explore new strategies for online tools. Adapting to these new tools allows teachers to move with the growth of their students and society.
Customizing Lesson Plans
: Teachers will provide new ways to approach learning objectives by understanding each students ability to learn differently. They will use digital tools to incorporate activities or projects for those needs. This includes changing an activity for students into one that could be done on a computer, that expands their knowledge through digital access.

Modeling Digital Learning:
Teachers will incorporate online tools that are safe and ethical in a classroom. They will ensure there is no copyrights in their lesson plans and educate their students of the dangers of so. Teachers are responsible for their students and how they communicate found information.

Global Collaborator:
Using the internet students are able to view more perspectives and share thoughts at such a larger rate. Students can connect all around the world, which includes understanding and hearing first hand about other cultures, religions and traditions of others. They begin communicating at an easy access, where they can discuss issues and begin an constructive approach to education.

Creative Communicator:
Students are encouraged to express and share their ideas in a creative way that increases their knowledge on technologies. This provides some students with a leadership role, by creating and publishing their works online for the public to view. A variety of networks that are available provide different ways of presenting information, such as visuals and creative writing pieces.

Computational Thinker:
Students will begin to learn how to efficiently problem solve with the use of technology. They will begin to use digital tools and their knowledge to think more critically through harder concepts relating to data, interpreting graphs and logical reasoning. Students will be required understand how to put pieces together in order to find the solution.
Digital Citizen:
Incorporating technology within a classroom must ensure that students are acting in ways that are safe and ethical. They are educated that their identity is expressed on an online world and that their actions stay online. It is important for students to act in a positive manor when communicating with others, to understand and respect the rules in online environments and secure their personal data.

Empowered Learner:
Students are instructed to demonstrate their knowledge through personal learning goals and are encouraged to record how they are going to improve on areas. They will use technology to make reflections as well as receive feedback through the same technological approaches. Students should be able to highlight the importance of technology.

Creativity Through Programs:
Alongside student-centred learning, technology will provide the ability for students to be more reflective in the work they do, it will increase communications and it will also provide a more competitive background for students to be more creative in their studies. Students will become independent and not only rely on their teachers, but also look up to these tools within technology.
Digital Learning Environments:
Community members, teachers and administrators will ensure the safety of these programs within the classroom. They provide reliable digital networks and will support the use outside of classrooms to maximize learning. They will also seek out strategies for more affordable, easier to access technologies.

Designing Personalized Learning:
Teachers take action in researching new techniques for certain technological programs, creating students success. They will also adapt to new learning diversities and ensure that their students are integrating into the system of technology. Students will then begin to learn how to problem solve and communicate with their peers in different and more effective ways.

Leadership:
Educational leaders provide updated standards for incorporating technology within a classroom. They use outlined plans to ensure they meet the success of students by ensuring effective and efficient use of programs or networks.
Applying Life Skills:
Technology will provide students to develop new skills that they will use throughout their entire life. It will provide personal growth and promote application use. This technology ensures that students can use these digital tools outside of the classroom for multiple subjects and for other work.

ICT Program of Studies
Incorporating ICT Programs In French:
Access to the ICT program will be found and incorporated into the French language, allowing the outcomes of ICT to be consistent with English. The outcomes will provide student success as well as provide new ways of approaching assignments and ways of learning.
Foundational Operations:
This curriculum will help students understand the purpose of technology use, the safety issues and the moral or ethical judgement to using certain information or communication with certain figures. These digital opportunities is all provided to ensure knowledge among students.

Technology Through Applications:
Technology, mixed with lessons plans has the opportunity to provide life skills for a student. Teachers begin to incorporate more digital tools, learn new techniques and apply them most efficiently in the classroom. They will also provide students a more engaging experience throughout their education.

Communicating and Problem Solving:
Students will be able to research and find information from a variety of resources. They will begin to understand how to assess the information they are given and problem solve throughout certain outcomes of their subject. Learning to communicate information to classmates, teachers and other figures in a formal way will provide a start to the ICT student success.
Process for Productivity:
This curriculum will provide students the knowledge of basic skills and techniques for navigating within sites, communicating information and the organization of data or different types of information.
