Bacteria, virus and fungi are the three types of microbes
-
-
-
the only time we can see microorganisms is when they have multiplied and formed a colony e.g. bread mould
Protists are a diverse collection of organisms, they are microscopic and usually invisible to the eye, some eat food and digest it internally otherrs digest it outside of there bodies
Viruses are very small particles that can infect plants and animals and make them sick.Viruses are made up of genetic materials like DNA and are protected by a coat of protein viruses which hijack the cells of other living organisms
Fungi are a group of living organisms, Fungi are found throughout the earth, including in land, in water, and in the air, and even in plants an animals there are more than 100,000 identified living species of Fungi on the earth
Bacteria are tiny little organisms which are everywhere around us, we cant see them without a microscope because they are so small to see but they are in the air, on our skin and in our bodies
-
If you lined up 1,000,000 viruses they would only stretch to 1mm
-
-
- The Virus attaches to a cell
- The Virus injects DNA into the cell
3.The Virus takes over the cell
4.Then new viruses are made
5.The cell bursts open
-
Microscopic fungi are about 0.01mm, so they are the largest of the microorganisms

when pathogens enter the boy they are detected by the lymphocyte because they have a protein coat called an antigen
