ISTE Essential Conditions for Bibb County Schools.
Empowered Leaders, Equitable Access, Skilled Personnel, Ongoing Professional Learning and Technical Support
Adequate technical support is administered throughout the school system to provide "reliable assistance for maintaining, renewing and using ICT." (ISTE EC 8)
Bibb County has access to active technical support through an online trouble ticket, email, and telephone.
ISTE C3 -- Digital age learning environments: We "Troubleshoot basic software, hardware, and connectivity problems" on a daily basis. # #
Bibb County Schools ensure equitable access across the county by providing all stakeholders "robust and reliable connectivity and acess." (ISTE EC 5)
All teachers' classrooms are equipped with desktops and mounted projectors. All Bibb County Students have G Suite accounts and network logins. All schools have access to a robust, unified wireless network that is accessible at any board property. #

In order for Bibb County Educatiors and School Leaders to stay knowledgeable about the most current technology, Bibb County Schools provides "ongoing access to technology-related professional learning." (ISTE EC 7)
Professional development is scheduled periodically throughout the school year to meet the teacher PD needs. We also hold technology overview and specialized training two times per year for support staff and substitutes. #
ISTE C4 --Professional development and program evaluation: We strive to "implement technology-rich professional learning programs" that improve the knowledge of all employees in the system. #
ISTE C6 -- Content knowledge and professional growth: The IT staff ensures that they "engage in continuous learning" to improve as a department to be able to serve others better. #
COSN ES4 -- We strive to bring "ongoing, purposeful professional development" to all faculty in Bibb County. #
The Bibb County School System works to guarantee that all Bibb County employees are "skilled in the selection and effective use of appropriate ICT resources." (ISTE EC 6)
Each school has a locally designated technology coordinator and there is a district IT staff that serves the entire county. The school representative works directly with teachers and district staff to model ideas and help with PD. District staff works to ensure that new programs and equipment are demonstrated and presented to all staff. #
