They are to work as if the Lord was their Boss, all duties preformed for Him.
Reminded of their reward: an inheritance, A heavenly reward awaits them regardless of what they are given or NOT given on earth.
Our modern message now: Our work is Worship to King Jesus Christ. Our honest, faithful, ungrudging work in return of our reward that is in heaven. We are to seek first the Kingdom : of God... Work unto the Lord, this in-turn gives dignity to our work regardless what we do, or what social/economic value it possesses.

STORY: THIS ISN'T DONE OUT OF FEAR BUT LOVE. Our kids want to obey us as we have set them up with a story of faith and love. They have seen it modelled in our marriage. They obey out of TRUST and not out of confusion. Our constant conversation about sex and drugs!
Masters/Leaders have a responsibility to know care and give 'right and fair' justice to their slaves. Masters have a Master too: We as leaders answer fully to God. We will all bow at our knee before HIM who is faithful and full of mercy and love.
