Macbeth Plot
The trio of witches are introduced briefly
We are told that Macbeth was a brave warrior in a recently occurring battle and that he the king has deemed him worthy of the title of Thane of Cawdor
Macbeth and Banquo meet the witches and they prophecies the following:
Macbeth will be Thane of Glamis
Thane of Cawdor
King
Banquo will not be king but his children will be
Some of Duncan's men come to announce the news that Macbeth is Thane of Cawdor which means he starts to believe the prophecies that he was told
Macbeth meets with Duncan and invites him to a feast at his place
Lady Macbeth receives a letter explaining the witches and their prophecies and asks the spirits to "unsex" her so that she may carry out the murder
When Macbeth arrives he is convinced by Lady Macbeth, against his better judgement that he should murder Duncan later.
They plan to make Duncan's chamberlains drunk so that they will black out and in the morning the murder can be blamed on them
While Duncan is asleep Macbeth stabs him in spite of his doubts and supernatural warnings including imagining a bloody dagger in front of him
