Solutions to Obesity considering PESTLE factors
POLITICAL
The government need to bring plans in to place to restrict food advertisements and promotion of unhealthy foods.
The government need to influence food manufacturers to make clear food labeling so no member of the public is mislead.
Bring educational plans-change schools curriculum to have more hours of Physical education
introduce on the NHS fitness club groups(like weight watchers) that people can access for free
add graphic images onto food packaging
ECONOMICAL
introducing taxes and putting the money back into our system to be use for advertisements or programmes or to be put back into our NHS
provide funding for obesity treatments for 5 years then stop support-provide an incentive
seek funding for projects from sport governing bodies,supermarkets,big brand name chains to fund education programmes
SOCIAL
create social clubs in town centres that people can go to and socialse and motivate eachother through fitness clubs
increase school after school clubs physical and non physical
educate families, on nutritional vales and a balanced diet. Teach more people to cook instead of getting a takeaway
volunteer programmes set in place
TECHNOLOGICAL
use less transport encourage more walking to work and school
create bans of television at certain times of the day to encourage people to get out of the house and exercise or socialise more
use social media and advertisements to promote a healthy active lifestyle.
create games and games consoles that get you exercising whilst gaming
Take away vending machines
LEGAL
introduce the sugar tax
set up laws to support obese workers in the work place and in contrast set up laws whereby obese citizens are not supported under the law
increase tax on all food -people pay more pays back into the system-less likely to buy excess of food
create laws to refuse serving over a certain band
food at work act-ensure alll canteens provide a nutritional healthy meal
