Fossil Fuels
It is getting harder to breath.
The fumes we keep releasing into the air are slowly killing us. I fear that years from now it will get so bad that we will have to wear rebreathers and our homes will have to be air tight with life support systems so we can breath.
China is the biggest producer of the fumes but second is the USA. They have both have agreed to reduce their use of fossil fuel.
The polar ice caps are melting.
Artic animals will die. The earth is heating up so ice caps will melt. Polar bears that live on them will drown. They can swim but they will run out of energy and die.
Storms are getting stronger.
The warming of the oceans is creating storms twice as big as Katrina. Cities on the coast will flood from rising sea levels. The refugees will have to go somewhere and then we will have overpopulation problems. People will get sick.
We will not have food and water for everyone. Pope Francis said its happening to the poor first.
To stop this, we can do things like
Use public transportation.
Eat less meat.
Turn off the lights.
More CO2
Warmer air
Warmer oceans
Stronger storms
Rising seas
