Carnivorous Plants
Plants adapted to attract, capture and digest insects and sometimes small animals.

Grasses
Vegetation consisting of small plants with narrow, blade-like leaves, grows wild or cultivated on lawns or posture or as a fodder crop.
Grass seeds are edible.
E.g Rice, Barley, Sweetcorn.

Monocots
Have one cotyledon, veins usually parallel, vascular bundles,fibrous root system and floral parts usually in multiples of 3.

Have two cotyledons, netlike veins, vascular bundles arranged in a ring, taproot and floral parts usually in multiples of 4/5.

Perennial Plants
Appears every year, usually leaves first followed by flower and then seeds. The vegetation then dies but the plant lives on to appear the following growing season.
