Useful phrases for paraphrasing and summarising
•‘I wonder if it would be helpful to summarise what you’ve said…’
•‘What I’ve understood so far is…’
•‘What I think I’ve heard you say is…’ ‘Would it be OK to check my understanding of the situation?’
