(V)- Not afraid of anyone because the witches gave him prediction that "no one born of a women can hurt him".
(I,ii)- becomes Thane of Cawdor because he is good fighter.

(I,ii)- Macbeth is thinking about how nice it would be if he was king.

(I,vii) Macbeth talk about being king to his wife.
Irrational
(III,iv)- "Thou canst not say I did it. Never shake
Thy gory locks at me.." Macbeth is the only one who sees Banquo at the table.

(II,ii)-Throughout the play we have evidence of Macbeth's irrationality. He imagines he sees the blood-stained dagger."Is this a dagger which I see before me,
The handle toward my hand?"
(III,iv)"When the brains were out, the man would die, and there a end but now they rise again." Macbeth was tortured by their murders, and can't let go.
Self-doubt
(II,ii)- "but if we should fail?" worried they will get caught. "we will proceed no further in this business.
(I,vii)He does not want to kill Duncan. He changes his mind. Lady Macbeth challenges Macbeths manhood.
