Roles of nutrients in the body:
Carbohydrates - These nutrients provide your body with energy. some examples are: Sugar, glucose and lactose.
Protein - Repairs tissues, and builds bones, muscles, cartilage, skin and blood
Fat - Insulates and protects the body. Too much is not healthy
Vitamins - Split up into groups. Vitamin D absorbs calcium for bone growth.
Minerals - Build on bones, teeth, blood, skin, hair, nerve function and muscle.
Water - Regulates the body's temperature
