Interviews
Unstructured
This is very flexible and are more like a conversation instead of a list of questions to answer the researcher is more likely to just have general ideas or topics to discuss.
Semi Structured
This is where some questions which have been prepared as well as the opportunity to discuss issues that arise during the interviews
Structured
This is where a questionnaire is read to participants, and the interviewer writes down the responses. They only ask the questions that have been prepared.

What is it?
A longitudinal study is is research that takes place over a long period of time with a group of people.

What is the aim?
The aim of this type of research is to follow what happens to people/families year after year of after several years. These studies can show what the effects if clsss, education upbringing etc have on the lives of people being studied.
