Accomplishments
Becoming a Vegetarian. I've always loved animals and after watching a few documentaries and researching the ethical, health, and environmental benefits of vegetarianism, I decided to stop eating meat. I replaced meat with other sources of protein such as leafy greens, and a year and a half later I feel very happy with this decision.
Donating my Hair to Locks of Love. I've always had long hair, but last year I decided to get a new hairstyle and cut my hair short. I wanted to help others who may need a wig for any reason, so I cut 10 inches off over the summer and donated it.
Winning a $1,000 Scholarship. At the end of 8th grade, my middle school offered an opportunity to my graduating class to earn a scholarship. I wrote a paper on the importance of education and submitted a resume of my grades, volunteer work, and extracurricular activities. On graduation night, I was rewarded one of the scholarships.
Straight A's Throughout High School. I have worked and studied very hard throughout high school to achieve this goal. I always complete my homework and ask for help when I need it, and it has definitely paid off.
President of NJHS. At the end of 7th of grade I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to become an officer in my school's chapter of NJHS. I wrote a paper about leadership and was elected by my peers as president for my 8th grade year.
