Lennie and George escapes from a farm they had worked at recently, but they had to flee because Lennie scared a woman in a red dress

economic crisis in the US led to many men desperate to work and earn money since they got poor because of the collapse in the American capitalism.
Countryside, not shops and other buildings than the ones that was connected to the farm

Curleys wife, she and all the men on the farm can get in trouble if they talk to eachother
Candy has only one hand and cant work, and he lost his dog as well as he is a very old man this can make him feel lonely and depressed at the same time

All these people are lonely and they feel either that they have to talk to someone or that they just need someone to be with.
They all have inn common that they get very isloated from all the other people at the ranch because they have nobody to be with and talk to

Lennie Small

He loves to pet with soft animals, especially small puppies. he also likes to touch nice things like hair

He kills urley`s wife after he touches her air and doesnt let go when she tells him to. he breaks her neck and she dies
Lennie tried to run away after he killed Curleys wife. Curley gathers his men and go on a hunt for Lennie. George does the same , and gets to him first
Croocks

when the other guys on the fram leaves to go to the city, the only perosns left is Lennie and Croocks. Lennie goes in to Croocks and they have a conversation together and George gets angry at Lennie when he comes back from town

He is the old man, he has lost one of his hands and has a dog as his best friend

They want to get money to buy a farm where they can live and Lennie can pet the rabbits, and when it is winter they can lit up the fireplace and not work, just sit in front of it
becuase of the stockmarket crash Lennie and George could have a dream about buying a farm for a small amount of money
